The Cliffbrakes
The Cliffbrakes are an alternative rock group featuring singer-songwriter Asha Franchi and rock drummer Shane Mann. In July 2024, they released their debut track: "Blood Bags." Based in San Francisco, they embrace the coastal landscape and the grit of their beloved city, finding inspiration everywhere. Their namesake plant, Cliffbrakes, are ferns that survive the toughest conditions manageable on the face of jaw-dropping cliffs. The band seeks to follow in their footsteps, infusing new life in the most unexpected places.
Their first single "Blood Bags" has been making waves with over 20,000 streams on Spotify alone and multiple features on blogs like Lyrical Odyssey and Jamsphere. Their low-budget, high-creativity music video has been especially applauded for its collaboration with local creatives at Duckfat Productions. Additionally, all songs have been recorded and mixed at the Women's Audio Mission studios. Asha has a background as an audio engineer and producer, so it's important for the group to support fellow women in the industry.
